| 520 Ringkasan/Abstrak/Intisari | Naskah disertasi dengan judul ?Perkembangan Teater Kontemporer Indonesia 1968-2008? adalah suatu hasil penelitian yang tercakup dalam disiplin ilmu sejarah yang fokusnya berada dalam disiplin ilmu sejarah kesenian dan yang secara khusus di dalam seni teater. Kurun waktu dimulainya penelitian yaitu sejak tahun 1968 bertepatan dengan diresmikannya penggunaan pusat kesenian Taman Ismail Marzuki di Jakarta. Sementara itu, masa berakhirnya penelitian pada tahun 2008 bersamaan dengan berakhirnya masa pemerintahan Presiden R.I. ke-6 Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Di antara rentang waktu itulah teater kontemporer Indonesia dibeberkan sebagai sebuah kajian untuk sumber penulisan naskah disertasi ini. Landasan teori yang dipergunakan untuk mengungkapkan makna di balik peristiwa serta proses berlangsungnya perkembangan teater kontemporer Indonesia bertolak dari teori strukturistik yang diperkenalkan oleh Christoper Lloyd, Anthony Gidden, dan Charles Tilly. Dalam teori strukturistik ini dapat diungkap hal-hal yang tidak kasat mata mengenai relasi, makna, institusi dari agency dan struktur. Pemeran utama atau aktor sebagai agen perubahan maupun institusi sebagai bagian dari struktur secara sadar melakukan perubahan dalam masyarakat. Berdasarkan analisis data yang terkumpul dapat diungkap suatu kesimpulan peran peran dari setiap kelompok teater kontemporer terutama dari Bengkel Teater pimpinan Rendra, Teater Mandiri pimpinan Putu Wijaya, Teater Koma pimpinan N. Riantiarno.
This dissertation ?Development of Indonesian contemporary theatre 1968-2008? is the result of a research encompassed in the discipline of history with the focus being in the realm in the discipline of the history of the arts and specifically in the theatre arts. The time frame in which the research of Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) in Jakarta. Then the research ended 2008 coinciding with the end of the presidential term of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Between those time frames, the Indonesian contemporary theatre is described to be an assessment as source materials for the writing of this dissertation. The theoretical platform used to discover the meaning behind the event and the process of the development of the Indonesian contemporary theatre is derived from the structuration theory introduced by Christopher Llyod, Anthony Gidden, and Charles Tilly. The structuration theory can uncover intangible issues regarding relations, meanings, institutions of agency and structure. The main role players or actors are agents of change or institution as part of the structure that is consciously making change in society. Based on the analysis of accumulated data conclusion can be surmised of the roles of each contemporary theatre companies especially of Bengkel Teater led by Rendra, Teater Mandiri led by Putu Wijaya, Teater Koma led by N. Riantiarno. |
