| 520 Ringkasan/Abstrak/Intisari | Kebiasaan merokok dapat merusak kesehatan, baik bagi penggunanya maupun orangorang di sekitarnya. Terdapat pengaruh dose response antara kebiasaan merokok dan risiko penyakit tertentu. Semakin lama individu memiliki kebiasaan merokok maka semakin besar pula kemungkinan terkena penyakit tertentu. Di sisi lain, menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) ternyata hampir separuh lansia mengalami keluhan kesehatan dan hampir seperempat lansia memiliki kebiasaan merokok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara perilaku merokok (current smoker, ex-smoker, passive smoker, dan non-smoker) terhadap keluhan kesehatan lansia dengan dikontrol oleh faktor demografi, sosial, ekonomi, dan keterpaparan terhadap asap rokok. Data yang digunakan bersumber dari Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (Susenas) tahun 2020 dengan metode analisis regresi logistik multinomial. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa lansia dengan status ex-smoker memiliki hubungan dengan keluhan kesehatan paling tinggi daripada lansia dengan status current smoker, passive smoker, dan non-smoker. Temuan lainnya adalah lansia dengan status current smoker cenderung lebih rendah untuk mengalami keluhan kesehatan daripada lansia dengan status non-smoker. Perlunya edukasi terkait pemahaman, kesadaran, kepedulian, dan dampak merokok dalam jangka panjang sehingga kebiasaan untuk tidak merokok sudah ditanamkan sejak usia dini.
......Smoking habits can damage health, both for users and those around them. There is a dose response effect between smoking habit and the risk of certain diseases. The longer an invidual has a smoking habit, the greater possibility of getting certain diseases. On the other hand, according to data from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), it turns out that almost half of the elderly experience health complaints and nearly a quarter of the elderly have a smoking habit. Even though This study aims to analyze the associations between smoking behaviour (current smoker, ex-smoker, passive smoker, dan non-smoker) on elderly health complaints controlled by demographic, social, economic, and exposure to cigarette smoke factors. The data used comes from the 2020 Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (Susenas) with the multinomial logistic regression analysis method. This study found that ex-smoker have the highest associations with health complaints in the elderly compared to current smoker, passive smoker, and non-smoker. Other findings are current smoker tended to be less likely to experience health complaints in the elderly than non-smoker. Need for education related to understanding, awareness, concern, and the long-term impact of smoking so that the habit of not smoking has been instilled from an early age. |
