 Abstract

ABSTRAK
Telkomsel sebagai sebuah operator telekomunikasi seluler besar telah turut serta mengimplementasi layanan 3G WCDMA/HSPA di area Jabodetabek (Jakarta , Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi).
Teknologi 3G yang ada saat ini hanya HSDPA yang diaktifkan sedangkan
HSUPA sebagai komplemennya masih dalam kondisi disabled. Pola trafik dari
pelanggan 3G belum sepenuhnya diamati sehingga dapat menemui kesulitan dalam perencanaan bisnis kedepannya. Perkembangan jumlah trafik terutama uplink dan pelanggan yang sedang aktif dalam trafik tersebut diamati maka kondisi throughput pelanggan dapat diketahui apakah mengalami saturasi atau belum sehingga keperluan
pengaktifan fitur peningkatan kapasitas uplink melalui teknologi HSUPA dapat dipertimbangkan.
Penelitian perhitungan forecasting ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode
deret waktu (time series method ) terhadap payload trafik uplink dan pelanggan yang
sedang aktif di layanan serta barrier dan kelas trafik tertentu saat pengamatan.
Sebagai hasil, pola dan rata-rata throughput setiap transaksi uplink pada kondisi
masing-masing bearer dapat diketahui.

ABSTRACT
Telkomsel as a big cellular telecommunication operator already participated in
3G WCDMA/HSPA implementation at Jabodetabek area (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok,
Tangerang, Bekasi).
3G technology that applied recently today only enable in HSDPA feature
meanwhile HSUPA as complement still in disabled condition. Traffic pattern from 3G
subscribers have not been fully monitored so it will face difficulty in future business
plan. Development amount of traffic especially in uplink and subscribers who active
in that traffic can be monitored so user throughput being known wheter on its
saturation condition or not thus activating feature for improving uplink capacity
through HSUPA technology can be considered.
This forecasting research was done by applying time series method to uplink
traffic and active subscriber in each barrier and QoS traffic class at the monitoring
moment. As result, pattern and average throughput on each barrier can be known.
