Skripsi ini mengangkat novel Dhuwit Asuransi karya St. Sri Purnanto yang dimuat bersambung dalam majalah mingguan berbahasa Jawa Panjebar Semangat edisi IV-XV Januari-April 2000. Analisis dilakukan terhadap unsur-unsur pembangun cerita dalam novel tersebut dengan menggunakan teori struktural seperti yang dijabarkan oleh Prof. Dr. Panuti Sudjiman dalam Memahami Cerita Rekaan. Pendekatan yang dipakai adalah pendekatan obyektif yang mengarah pada analisis intrinsik cerita. Sedangkan, metode yang dipergunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif.Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana struktur di dalam novel Dhuwit Asuransi yang terdiri atas tokoh, alur, latar, dan tema saling berkaitan untuk membangun cerita tersebut.

This undergraduate thesis took the novel Dhuwit Asuransi written by St. Sri Purnanto which continuously posted in the weekly Javanese magazine Panjebar Semangat 4th to 15th edition January-April 2000 as its main analysis object. The research will focused in the elements which build the story of the novel Dhuwit Asuransi by using the structural theory as explained by Prof. Dr. Panuti Sudjiman in Memahami Cerita Rekaan. Objective approach which refers to story intrinsic analysis also used in this analysis. Whereas, the method used here is descriptive analysis method.The last results in this analysis explains how does the structures of the novel Dhuwit Asuransi which consists of characters, plot, settings, and theme correlate each other to build the story.
