Skripsi ini membahas mengenai unifikasi kebiasaan internasional mengenai Documentary Credit atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama Letter of Credit atau L/C dalam pembayaran transaksi perdagangan internasional. Bahan pembahasan menyangkut perkembangan Documentary Credit di dalam sejarah hukum perdagangan internasional, pengaturan Documentary Credit berdasarkan Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credit (UCP) 600, penggunaannya di dalam pembayaran transaksi perdagangan internasional dan aplikasinya di Indonesia.

The Focus of this study is the unification of international customs regarding Documentary Credit or which is better known as Letter of Credit or L/C as a method of payment in international trade transaction. The material that will be discussed consist of the development of Documentary Credit in the history of international trade law, the regulation of Documentary Credit based on Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credit (UCP) 600, the usage in international trade transaction and the application in Indonesia.
