ABSTRAKKondisi Bayi Berat lahir rendah (BBLR) merupakan faktor resiko yang
mempunyai kontribusi terhadap kematian bayi. Tujuan penelitian kualitatif (grounded theory) ini untuk mengembangkan kerangka konsep tentang pola perawatan oleh ibu pada BBLR di rumah sakit dan di rumah dan hal-hal yang mempengaruhinya dengan seleksi theoretical sampling pada 6 orang partisipan.
Metode pengambilan data dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 7 tema yang dibentuk menjadi konsep baru tentang pola perawatan oleh ibu pada BBLR di rumah sakit dan di rumah dan halhal yang mempengaruhinya. Keinginan ibu melakukan perawatan BBLR merupakan inti tema dari penelitian ini dan ibu memerlukan konseling tenaga kesehatan tentang perawatan BBLR.
ABSTRACTThe condition of Low Birth Weight (LBW) is one of the risk factor that have contribute to the death of infant The purpose of this study is to develop concept about the pattern of LBW care used by mothers in hospital and at home and its influence on six participants that selected by theoretical sampling. The method of collecting data are indepth interview, observation, and literature study. The result
of this study finding seven themes tobe the new concept about the pattern of LBW care used by mothers in hospital and at home and its influence. Mother’s desire to care LBW is the core theme of this study and mothers require counseling and from the staff of hospital for caring LBW.
