Kampus adalah tempat belajar yang mendidik para mahasiswanya menjadi seorang yang pintar dan berguna. Tetapi banyak diantara mereka yang terlibat dalam sex bebas. Bahkan ada diantara mereka yang terlibat dalam prostitusi. Mereka membawa nama mahasiswa untuk menaikkan ?nilai jual? mereka. Peneliti ingin melihat bagaimanakah konsep diri seorang 'ayam kampus' karena konsep diri seseorang akan menentukan perilakunya. Metode yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam untuk mencari tahu bagaimana perasaan yang dialami oleh subjek. Karaktersitik Subjek yang diambil oleh peneliti adalah seseorang yang berada dalam usia remaja (18-22 tahun), aktif dan terdaftar sebagai mahasiswa di Universitas yang ada di Indonesia, dan melakukan prostitusi. Hasil yang didapat oleh peneliti adalah ketiga subjek memiliki konsep diri yang negatif. Selain itu, peneliti juga melihat salah satu alasan ketiga subjek ini menjadi 'ayam kampus' disebabkan karena mereka melakukan hubungan seksual dengan pacarnya dan ia ditinggalkan.

University is a place that enables its students to pursue a higher level of education in order to be more educated. Nonetheless, it is very unfortunate that many of college students are involved in the free sex. Moreover, some of them are even engaged in the prostitution. They use the label of 'college student' to increase their value in the market. Therefore, the researcher would like to asses how the description of self-concept in college student prostitutes is, because inevitably, this self-concept would eventually influence their social behaviors.

The methodology utilized in this case is a one-on-one interview, in which the researcher shall investigate the emotions or feelings embedded in the subjects. The samples' criteria for this research are those who are in the range of 18 to 22 years old, listed as active students in one of universities in Indonesia, and engaged in the practice of prostitution.

The results are evident that the three subjects have a negative self-concept. Furthermore, the researcher also see a similarity among these three subjects, that one of the reasons behind their involvements in becoming college student prostitutes is due to the fact that they were left behind by their boyfriends with whom they had done sexual intercourse previously.
