Lidah buaya merupakan salah satu tanaman obat yang sangat berguna di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh formula tablet effervescent dengan bahan berkhasiat tepung daging lidah buaya yang dapat digunakan sebagai minuman sehat komersial. Pada penelitian ini, tablet dibuat dengan granulasi kering pada kondisi kelembaban relatif (RH) 34% dengan suhu 20oC. Formulasi tablet effervescent dilakukan dengan memvariasikan jumlah effervescent mix dalam lima formula. Hasil evaluasi sediaan didapat bahwa empat dari lima formula yang ada sudah memenuhi syarat, hanya formula V yang tidak memenuhi syarat waktu larut tablet effervescent (< 5 menit). Pada uji statistik kesukaan dengan uji Krusskal-Wallis menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan kesukaan secara bermakna baik terhadap penampilan, aroma, rasa, maupun secara total dari kelima formula tablet effervescent tepung daging lidah buaya. Sedangkan penilaian crosstabulation menunjukkan bahwa lima formula tablet effervescent yang dihasilkan disukai oleh responden.

Aloe vera is one of useful herbs in Indonesia which can be used as a medicine. The objective of this study was to obtain suitable formulation for effervescent tablet containing aloe powder for a commercial healthy drink. In this study, the production of tablet was performed with dry granulation at a specific condition with relative humidity (RH) 34% and temperature 20oC. Five different formulations were perfomed for effervescent tablet by modifying the amount of effervescent mix ingredients.

The result showed that four out of five had met qualifications of effervescent tablet. The solubility time of formula V for effervescent tablet was under the qualification (< 5 minutes), apparently. The hedonic test with Kruskal-Wallis test showed that there was no significant differences in preference of five formulas of aloe effervescent tablet on appearance, odor, taste, and totally preference. Futhermore, the crosstabulation showed that respondents liked five formulas of aloe effervescent tablet.
