Penelitian ini bertujuan meneliti keberhasilan Software akuntansi berdasarkan persepsi pemakai. Model yang digunakan untuk menguji keberhasilan Software akuntansi dalam penelitian ini adalah modifikasi model keberhasilan sistem informasi dari Seddon (1997). Secara konsep, model Seddon meneliti dan mengklarifikasi aspek-aspek dari model DeLone dan McLean (1992), dengan demikian secara efektif mengintegrasikan hubungan teori inti didukung dengan literatur keberhasilan sistem informasi. Seddon membagi modelnya menjadi tiga kategori variabel yaitu: pengukuran kualitas sistem dan informasi, pengukuran umum mengenai benefit dari penggunaan sistem informasi, dan perilaku yang berkaitan dengan penerimaan IS Use. Dua kategori pertama merupakan definisi keberhasilan sistem informasi, dan kategori ketiga adalah dampak terhadap penggunaan sistem informasi tersebut. Model dalam penelitian ini diaplikasikan dalam pengumpulan data sebanyak 204 kuesioner terhadap pengguna Software akuntansi yang bekerja di berbagai macam perusahaan di Indonesia. Pengujian terhadap model, peneliti menggunakan Structural Equation Model (SEM) dengan bantuan piranti lunak LISREL 8.72.Hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa system quality terbukti signifikan berpengaruh positif terhadap perceived usefulness, dan juga terhadap user satisfaction. Information quality juga terbukti secara signifikan berpengaruh positif terhadap perceived usefulness dan user satisfaction. Namun hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa user satisfaction tidak terbukti signifikan berpengaruh terhadap system use.

The purpose of this study is to examine the information system (IS) success of the accounting Software based on the user perception. The model used to examine the IS success is the modified IS success model of Seddon (1997). Conceptually, Seddon’s Model examines and clarifies the aspects of DeLone and McLean’s Model (1992). Therefore, Seddon’s Model effectively integrates the fundamental theoretical supported by the IS success iiteratures. Seddon divides his model into three categories of variables, which are: the measurement of system quality and information quality, and the behavior related to acceptance of IS Use. The first two categories are definition of IS success, while the third category is the definition of the impact of the IS. The model employed in this study is applied on the data collected through 204 questionnaires distributed to the users of accounting Software who work at the variety of companies in Indonesia. In examining the model, I employ the Structural Equation Model (SEM) by using LISREL 8.72 Software.

The results of the study show that the system quality statistically significant affects the perceived usefulness and the user satisfaction. Furthermore, the results show that the information quality statistically significant affects the perceived usefulness and user satisfaction. On the other hand, the result of the study show that the user satisfaction does not affect the system use.
