Entikong merupakan Pusat Pertumbuhan Perbatasan (Border Development Centre). Pertumbuhan ekonomi di wilayah perbatasan akan diiringi dengan penginkatan demand akan perumahan/tempat tinggal. Dalam rangka mengikuti perkembangan tersebut, pemerintah pada tahun 2006 telah membangun rumah susun sederhana sewa (rusunawa) di Entikong.
Optimalisasi pembangunan rusunawa Entikong memerlukan kajian mendalam terkait dengan kesiapan masyarakat untuk tinggal di rusunawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kesediaan tinggal dan membayar di rusunawa Entikong yang dilaksanakan di Kota Entikong mulai Juni 2008 sampai Agustus 2008 dengan menggunakan survey Contingen Valution Method (CVM) dengan desain cross sectional (potong lintang) pada 100 responden terpilih secara judgement purposive sampling.
Hasil analisis dan kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian, disarankan kepada UPTD Entikong agar penghunian rusunawa segera dilaksanakan dan melengkapi fasilitas rusunawa yang ada saat ini. Dalam penentuan tarif sewa agar mempertimbangkan nilai WTP masyarakat sekitar BDC Entikong, khususnya di Pemukiman Patoka dan Pasar Batas Entikong sebesar Rp. 170.133 per bulan.
Today, Entikong is considered as a Border Development Centre (BDC). High Economic growth within a border region will be followed by increase in housing/real estate demand. In order to anticipate this growth, in 2006, government has strated to build the Rent-Low-Cost Multistorey Housing (Rusunawa) in the area of Entikong.
To optimally develop the Rusunawa in Entikong, a further investigation in term of public readiness to live in Rusunawa is necessary. The objective of this research is to measure public's willingnes to stay and to pay in the Entikong Rusunawa. The research was held from June 2008 to August 2008 by using Contingent Valuation method (CVM) survey with Cross Sectional design, at 100 chosen responder at judgement purposive sampling.
Analysis result and conclusion acquired from this research is to suggest Entikong Rusunawa UPTD that rusunawa should be occupied immediately, and also complete all the facilities available. On the other hand, rent price determination should consider the WTP of inhabitants around Entikong BDC, especially in Patoka residence and Entikong border market, which is 170.133 rupiahs a month.
