Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang makna perawatan filariasis untuk klien dewasa di kecamatan Margaasih dan bagaimana memaknai pengalaman tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaukan melalui pendekatan kualitatid desain fenomenologi deskriptif dengan metode wawancara mendalam. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah klien dengan filariasis. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa hasil rekaman wawancara dan catatan lapangan yang dianalisis dengan menerapkan teknik Coallaizi.
Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi 10 tema yaitu respon psikologis; respon fisik; kurang mendukung program eliminasi filariasis; mendukung program eliminasi filariasis; aktivitas sehari-hari; dampak yang dialami setelah menderita sakit; peilaku pencarian pelayanan kesehatan; hambatan terhadap upaya pencarian pelayanan kesehatan; dukungan terhadap penderita; keinginan klien filariasis.
The aim of this study is to explore the experience of client living with filariasis ini Margaasih Subdistrict and hw to find the meaning from this experience. This study employe the qualitative descriptive phenomenology design, and the data are collected by in-depth interview. The participants in this research are individuals with filariasis that are collected by purposice sampling. The data gathered are in form of the results from the recording of in-depth interview and field note form transcribed and analyzed by using the Collaizis' method.
This study identifies 10 themes, which are : physchological responses; physical responses; unsupporting the global program to eliminate lympathic filariasis; supporting the global program to elimintte lymphatic filariasis; daily activites; impact of the filariasis; health service seeking behavior; obstacles toward the effort of health seeking behavior, social support for the client with filariasis; the want of client with filariasis.
