Skripsi ini membahas mengenai Singapura dalam Federasi Malaysia, sejak proses pembentukannya pada tahun 1961 sampai pemisahan Singapura dari Federasi Malaysia pada tahun 1965. Posisi Singapura dalam Federasi Malaysia terlihat tidak begitu baik sejak dari proses pembentukan Federasi Malaysia, berbagai permasalahan politik, ekonomi maupun rasial mewarnai hubungan Singapura dan Malaysia di dalam Federasi Malaysia. Banyaknya perbedaan di antara kedua negara, seperti perbedaan mayoritas etnis, ideologi publik maupun persaingan dalam bidang ekonomi membuat situasi semakin lama semakin memanas, sehingga puncaknya adalah Tunku membuat suatu keputusan untuk melepaskan Singapura dari Federasi Malaysia pada tahun 1965.

This thesis discusses about Singapore in the Federation of Malaysia, since the formation in 1961 until the separation of Singapore from Federation of Malaysia in 1965. The position of Singapore in the Federation of Malaysia not as well since the formation of the Federation of Malaysia, various aspects of politics, economic and race coloring the relation of Singapore and Malaysia in the Federation of Malaysia. Many of the differences between the two countries, like the majority of ethnic differences, political ideologies, economic competition make the situation even more heated. So that the peak Tunku make a decision to separate Singapore from the Federation of Malaysia.
