Skripsi ini membahas mengenai sejauh mana para siswa SMAN 14 menggunakan internet sebagai sumber belajar. Serta menjelaskan alasan apa yang memotivasi mereka untuk menggunakan internet sebagai tempat pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi sekolah daripada menggunakan perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para siswa lebih memilih internet karena mencari informasi di internet dinilai lebih mudah, cepat, dan lengkap. Dalam mencari informasi di internet para siswa masih mengandalkan bantuan search engine.

This thesis discusses the extent to which the 14 high school students use the internet as a source of learning. And explain the reasons for what motivates them to use the internet as a place to meet the needs of school information instead of using the school library. This research is quantitative descriptive design. Results showed that students prefer the Internet for seeking information on the Internet are considered cheaper, faster, and complete. In searching for information on the Internet the students still rely on the help of search engines.
