Skripsi ini menganalisis Prinsip Kerja Sama dan Prinsip Kesantunan dalam facebook. Tujuan dari analisis ini ialah untuk mengetahui pematuhan dan pelanggaran terhadap Prinsip Kerja Sama dan Prinsip Kesantunan dalam interaksi mahasiswa Program Studi Sastra Indonesia angkatan 2007 serta mendeskripsikan alat kohesi yang digunakan dalam mempertahankan Prinsip Kerja Sama dan Prinsip Kesantunan. Kesimpulan dari analisis ini ialah pelanggaran Prinsip Kerja Sama dan Prinsip Kesantunan lebih sering terjadi dibandingkan dengan pematuhannya. Pelanggaran Prinsip Kerja Sama yang paling sering muncul ialah pelanggaran terhadap maksim kuantitas sedangkan pelanggaran Prinsip Kesantunan yang paling sering muncul ialah pelanggaran terhadap maksim kerendahhatian. Alat kohesi yang paling sering digunakan dalam percakapan tersebut ialah repetisi dan referensi persona.

This undergraduate thesis analyzes the Principle of Cooperative and the Principle of Modesty in facebook. The purpose of this analysis is to determine compliance and violation of the Principle of Cooperation and the Principle of Modesty in interaction of the student from Indonesia Literary Studies Program of 2007 and describe the tools that are used in maintaining the cohesion of the Principle of Cooperation and Principle of Modesty. The conclusion of this analysis is the violation of the Principle of Cooperation and the Principle of Modesty are more common than the obedience. The more common violation of the Principle of Cooperation is violation of the maxims of quantity while the more common violation of the Principle of Modesty is violation of the maxims humility. Cohesion tool most often used in conversation it are repetition and reference persona.
