Filsafat kontemporer telah meninggalkan permasalahan subyek. Filsafat kontemporer melihat bahwa subyek telah mati karena selalu dipengaruhi oleh kehidupan sosial. Akan tetapi, Slavoj Zizek melihat bahwa subyek seharusnya dihadirkan kembali di kehidupan sosial. Subyek yang dimaksud merupakan subyek kosong yang terlepas dari simbol sosial maupun fantasi subyektif. Subyek kosong merupakan subyek yang terus menegasi kedua simbol tersebut dan menciptakan simbol-simbol baru. Dengan demikian, subyek selalu merefleksi semua tindakannya.

But Slavoj Zizek thinks that the subject should present in social life. Subject that he means that is the void of subject whom apart of social symbolic and subjectivity fantasy. The void of subject is always refuses the both symbolics and then makes new symbolics. So that, the subject always reflects all the actions.
