Pengujian modul termoelektrik atau Elemen Peltier biasanya ditujukan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai perbedaan temperatur maksimum antara sisi panas dan sisi dingin elemen peltier dan COP (Coefficient of Performance). Sehubungan dengan pengembangan peralatan-peralatan berbasis modul termoelektrik sebagai pompa kalor, pengujian terhadap modul termoelektrik perlu dilakukan karena modul TE (termoelektrik) yang saat ini banyak beredar di pasar tidak mencantumkan standar spesifikasi yang jelas. Penggunaan modul TE yang sesuai dengan spesifikasi akan memberikan performa yang optimal pada rancangan alat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat uji kualitas dan karakteristik elemen peltier. Pada paper ini dijelaskan tentang alat uji yang dikembangkan dan pengujian modul TE dengan menggunakan perhitungan daya listrik, COP dan beda temperatur. Design alat uji dibuat secara sederhana, dan cara kerjanya pun tidak rumit. Alat uji memiliki 2 buah waterblock yang dialiri air, yang berfungsi sebagai alat pengukur kalor yang diserap dan dilepaskan dari masing-masing sisi modul TE. Hasil design alat pengujian cukup kompak dan dapat digunakan sebagai alat uji kualitas dan karaktertiki elemen peltier.

The testing of the Thermoelectric Module (TE) or Peltier Element is normally to obtain information such as the differences in the hot and cold temperature across the element and also the Coefficient of Performance (COP). Heat pump is one of the instruments that used the principal of thermoelectric module. The purpose of this experiment is to set a certain specification of the module. Therefore the test of the thermoelectric Module has to be conducted to ensure it has the right standard specification before it goes to the market, because there are too many thermoelectric modules that release to the market without any standardization. The use of the module in the right specification will give the optimal and maximum potential of the design instrument, for example the heat pump. In this paper it explains the new testing equipment that is used to test the element Peltier and also the test of thermoelectric module by using the calculation of power input, Coefficient of Performance (COP), and difference in maximum temperature. This new testing equipment is designed in simplicity and can be operated easy. It consists of two water blocks which a flow of water passes through it, therefore the blocks measure the initial and release heat on the plate on both sides of the thermoelectric module. The result of the new testing equipment is convincing and now it can be used to test the specification and characteristic of the element Peltier.
