 Abstract

Bantaran sungai yang melewati daerah padat penduduk sering kali dilanggar oleh dengan pembangunan rumah-rumah diatasnya, sehingga keberadaannya mengurangi lebar efektif sungai. Simulasi penyempitan sungai tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan suatu model matematis berupa program HEC-RAS. Simulasi ini bertujuan untuk mengkuantifikasikan pengaruh penyempitan sungai oleh perancah terhadap persentase kenaikan muka air berdasarkan fluktuasi debit aliran steady dan unsteady. Konfigurasi penyempitan divariasikan berdasarkan jarak perancah lateral (X) dan longitudinal (Y) saluran, dan lebar bukaan tengah. Dari simulasi ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin rapat jarak antar perancah dan semakin sempit bukaan maka persentase ketinggian muka air semakin besar di sepanjang penyempitan.

Floodplain that passes through a densely populated area is often being intruded by an illegal built of temporary hut, hence the effective width of the river is reduced. A river choking simulation is run using HEC-RAS. This simulation is to quantify the effect of river choking due to illegal installation of scaffolding towards the percentage of water level fluctuation based on steady and unsteady flow. The contraction configurations are varied on their lateral distance (x), longitudinal distance (y), and center opening. The simulation shows that the closer the distance between the scaffoldings and the narrower the opening, the percentage of water level increases along the contraction area.
