Potensi minyak kelapa sawit Indonesia yang begitu besar mendorong berkembangnya berbagai macam usaha untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah bagi kelapa sawit. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah bagi kelapa sawit adalah pembuatan minyak DAG yang berbahan dasar minyak sawit. Minyak DAG merupakan minyak untuk kesehatan. Minyak DAG dapat berfungsi menurunkan kadar lemak dalam tubuh. Pembuatan minyak DAG dapat dilakukan baik melalui rute hidrolisis, rute esterifikasi, maupun kombinasi dari keduanya. Dalam studi ini akan dilakukan analisa secara tekno-ekonomi produksi minyak DAG di Indonesia. Metode untuk memproduksi minyak DAG yang dilakukan adalah kombinasi parsial hidrolisis dan esterifikasi yang dilakukan di dalam hollow fiber reactor dengan bantuan biokatalis. Hasil studi ini akan memberikan saran apakah pembangunan pabrik untuk memproduksi DAG di Indonesia layak secara ekonomi atau tidak.

Indonesian palm oil potential was so great that encourage the development of a variety of efforts to increase the added value of palm oil. One way to increase the added value for palm oil is the production of DAG oil which is a palm oil-based. DAG oil is the health cooking oil. DAG oil can lower levels of fat in the body. DAG oil production is can be done either through the route hydrolysis, esterification route, or a combination of both.

In this study, analysis will be done in techno-economic of DAG oil production in Indonesia. Method for producing DAG oil is the combination of partial hydrolysis and esterification carried out in the hollow fiber reactor with the help of biokatalis. The results of this study will provide advice on whether the construction of factories for the production of DAG in Indonesia economically feasible or not.
