Light Vehicle merupakan salah satu sarana pendukung penting dalam berjalannya kegiatan operasional di site. Dengan semakin bertambahnya proyek dan meningkatnya harga sewa kendaraan, maka diperlukan analisa terhadap sistem pengadaan Light Vehicle agar keputusan untuk pembelian kendaraan atau penyewaan kendaraan pada service provider tertentu menjadi efektif dan efisien.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan metodologi pengambilan keputusan yang dapat memberikan perusahaan kemampuan yang lebih efektif untuk menentukan keputusan membeli atau menyewa light vehicle sebagai kendaraan operasional di site dengan konsistensi dan repeatability untuk diterapkan pada proyek-proyek selanjutnya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Make or Buy Decision Analysis yang menganalisa kelayakan suatu sistem untuk pengadaan Light Vehicle yang didukung oleh penerapan fungsi ekonomi teknik dan perhitungan depresiasi dalam pengolahan data.
Light Vehicles are one of the most important facilities in order to support the mobilization operational activity in site. In accordance to new projects that recently have been awarded to PT. TCI and the increasing of light vehicles rental rate, therefore it has been decided that it is a necessity requirement to analyze the system in providing light vehicles. This is in order to avoid mistake by the company in choosing the best decision in providing light vehicles of their own or by awarding it to the service provider to provide light vehicles rental in site including for the services and other requirement by the company effectively and efficiently. The goal for this research is to, apply the method in decision making which could give the company ability in taking decision based on the science in Industrial Engineering to choose whether providing the light vehicles by their own or by hiring to service provider. The other main point of target from this research is to get a standard reference of decision analysis method which could be use as a reference method of providing light vehicles with high repeatability for the other upcoming projects. This research is using Make or Buy Decision Analysis method that will be used to analyze the feasibility of system in providing light vehicle and supported by the function in engineering economy and depreciation measurement with statistical method in processing the data of research.
