Tujuan dari Penclitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kelemaho n-kelemahan yang ada dalarn sistem temu kembali informasi ?MIS (Muslim Expert Irtformatlo,r System) dan membuat rancangan pengembangannya. Kelemahan-kelemahan sistem temu kembali informasi ini diukur dengan mengujicoba sistem, rnenaevaluasi dan menganalisis lair fasilitas-fasilitas dan menu-menu yang disediakan olch sistem, seperti: ketersediaan informasi dan titik akscs, pengoperasian sistcm, system penelusuran, tampilan layar dan keluaran sistem serta bantuan pengguna yang disediakan sistem. Selanjutnya dari basil evaluasi tersebut akan dibuat suatu rancangan sistem dengan penekanan pada antarmuka pemakai (user interface) guna pengembangan sistem yang lebih baik. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 mahasiswa, yang sclanjutnya mereka berperan sebagai pemakai sistem. Data diperolch dengan menggunakan 3 jenis kuesioner, yaitu dalam bentuk soal tes, daftar pengecekan (check list) dan komentar responden. Data diolah dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif.
This research aims to study the existing weaknesses available within MEIS retrieval information system. This weaknesses is assessed by applying trial and error experiment, evaluating and analyzing of its facility's and menu's provided by the system, such as : the availability of information and access point, operational system, retrieval system, screen display, and output system, as well as other users' aids. From evaluation results, a view system is designed by giving special attention to user interface in order to develop the better system. The number of respondents of this research is 30 students as the system users. Data is acquired using three questionnaire forms, namely: tests form, check list, and respondent's opinions. Data is then processed and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Following results from this research are: 1. Based on the information availability and access point. The information available in MEIS is suitably presented. Because of Muslims expert displayed are not popular, users expect to see the publications and abstract of the publications to the included in the MEIS. 2. Based on the operational system.
