Usia menarche yang semakin dini dari tahun ke tahun menunjukkan adanya suatu tren pada usia menarche remaja putri. Penurunan pada usia menarche diduga berkaitan dengan faktor internal (genetik) dan faktor eksternal (lingkungan). Semakin cepat usia menarche maka semakin cepat pula remaja putri bersinggungan dengan kehidupan seksual aktif yang akan berdampak path resiko terjadinya kehamilan remaja, HIV-AIDS & penyakit menular seksual lainnya. Tujuan peneIitian ini adalah diketahuinya rata-rata usia menarche mahasiswi FIK UI dan hubungan usia menarche dengan indeks massa tubuh dan usia menarche ibu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif (deskriptif-korelatif) dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian cross sectional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata usia menarche mahasiswi FIK Ul adalah 12,52±1,24 tahun dan rata-rata usia menarche ibu adalah 13,61±1,55 tahun. DaIam penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara usia menarche mahasiswi FIK UI dengan indeks massa tubuh dan usia menarche ibu, terIihat pula tren usia menarche yang semakin muda pada wanita di Indonesia. Maka dari itu diharapkan sasaran pelayanan kesehatan terkait kesehatan reproduksi wanita diarahkan pada usia yang lebih muda yaitu sekitar usia SD dan SMP. Dengan demikian remaja putri mernperoleh pengetahuan terkait kesehatan reproduksi mereka pada saat yang tepat.

Menarche age that is early from year to year showed existence of a trend by menarcheal age of young girls. Decreasing at menarcheal age is assumed relating to internal factor (genetic) and external factor (environment). Trend of menarcheal age is earlier with active sexual life that will affect to risk the happening of adolescent pregnancy, HIV-AIDS & others sexual transmition dissease. The objectives of this research are to know the average of menarcheal age of FIK UT's coed and relationship between menarcheal age with body mass index and menarcheal age of the mother. The type of this research is the quantitative (deskriptive-korelative) by using cross sectional research design. This research result shows that the average of menarcheal age of FIK UI's coed is 12,52 ±1,24 year and the average of menarcheaI age of the mother is 13,61±1,55 year. This research concluded that there is no significant correlation between menarcheal age of FIK UI's coed with body mass index and menarcheal age of the mother, seen also trend of menarcheal age that growing young at woman in Indonesia. From the result that expected health care target relates health of woman reproduction is aimed at younger age which is about age elementary and junior high school. So That they will be getting the knowledge which relates with their reproduction health at the right time.
