Belanja pendidikan merupakan fungsi distribusi dari peran ekonomi pemerintah yang ditujukan untuk kelompok miskin supaya mereka dapat terlepas dari belenggu kemiskinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengukur distribusi manfaat belanja pendidikan diantara kelompok rumah tangga berdasarkan tingkat pendapatan di Kabupaten Klaten pada tahun 2009 dengan menggunakan Benefit Incidence Analysis. Studi ini hanya fokus pada belanja pendidikan untuk SD/SMP/SMA/SMK Negeri. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manfaat belanja
pendidikan SD terdistribusi hampir merata pada tiap kelompok pendapatan. Sebagian besar belanja SMP dan SMA/SMK Negeri diterima kelompok pendapatan menengah ke atas.;Education spending is the distribution of the economic role of government intended for the poor so that they can release from poverty trap.
