Tesis ini membahas tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan inisiasi hemodialisis di RSUP Dr Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi retrospektif. Populasi sebanyak 101 pasien. Metode pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan inisiasi dialisis adalah usia, jenis kelamin, asuransi, kadar kreatinin, LFG dan dukungan pelayanan kesehatan, analisis multivariat menunjukan bahwa nilai OR 20,099. Hasil penelitian menyarankan bahwa perlu pelatihan bagi perawat menjadi edukator yang baik, terbentuknya tim edukasi dari berbagai disiplin ilmu dan adanya advokasi bagi pasien dalam memperoleh asuransi kesehatan.

The focus of this study is the factors that influence the decision of initiation of hemodialysis of Dr Soeradji Tirtonegoro hospital Klaten. This research was retrospective study. Population of 101 patients. The method of sampling was total sampling. This analysis showed that factors affecting the decision of initiation hemodialysis were age, gender, health insurance, creatinine levels, LFG, family support and health services support. The significant factors contributing was health insurance (p value = 0,000), multivariate analysis found the value OR 20,099. The researcher suggests that nurse need training to become a good educator, establishment of educational teams from multidisciplinary and the advocacy for the patient in obtaining health insurance.
