Skripsi ini membahas kiprah Partai Boeroeh Indonesia (PBI) yang lahir tidak lama setelah Proklamasi Kemerdekaan Indonesia 1945. Namun, sejak berdiri pada awal November 1945 hingga akhir Juni 1946, partai politik yang menyandang nama ?buruh? ini selalu diterpa berbagai masalah, baik internal maupun eksternal. Pemimpin buruh dan serikat buruh yang bermunculan pada periode awal kemerdekaan juga banyak yang menolak eksistensi PBI, terlebih lagi ketika partai ini memilih jalur perjuangan revolusioner berseberangan dengan jalan diplomasi yang diambil Pemerintah Republik.

This study discusses the activity of the Party Boeroeh Indonesia (PBI), who was born shortly after the proclamation of Indonesian independence in 1945. However, since its establishment in early November 1945 until the end of June 1946, the political party which bears the name "workers" has always been buffeted by various problems, both internal and external. Labor leaders and unions that emerged in the early period of independence as well as many who reject the existence of PBI, even more so when these parties choose the path of revolutionary struggle across the road taken by the Government of the Republic of diplomacy.
