Stroke merupakan kelainan fungsi otak yang timbul mendadak disebabkan karena gangguan terjadinya peredaran darah otak yang dapat menyebabkan berbagai defisit neurologik diantaranya adalah defisit motorik berupa hemiparesis. Penanganan hemiparesis adalah meningkatkan fungsi motorik, mencegah kontraktur dan komplikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh latihan Motor Imagery: visual terhadap kekuatan otot ekstremitas pada pasien stroke dengan hemiparesis di RSUD Kota Bekasi.
Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Quasi Experiment pre dan post test design dengan kelompok kontrol. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 22 responden yang dipilih dengan tehnik consecutive sampling. Sampel dibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan sebanyak 11 responden yang diberikan penanganan standar rumah sakit dan latihan Motor Imagery : visual 3x sehari selama 7 hari dan kelompok kontrol sebanyak 11 responden yang diberikan penanganan standar rumah sakit tanpa diberikan tambahan latihan Motor Imagery : visual. Evaluasi penelitian ini dilakukan pada hari pertama dan kedelapan untuk kedua kelompok tersebut.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kekuatan otot lengan dan kaki meningkat (p=0,000) secara signifikan setelah diberikan latihan. Hal ini berarti latihan Motor Imagery : visual berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot ekstremitas pada pasien stroke dengan hemiparesis. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya penggunaan latihan ini sebagai salah satu intervensi perawat dalam asuhan keperawatan pasien stroke.
Stroke is a brain dysfunction that occurs due to sudden interruption of blood circulation of the brain resulting in a variety of neurologic deficits include motor deficits of hemiparesis. Management of hemiparesis is to improve motor function, prevent contractures and complications. The aims of this study is to identify the effect of Motor Imagery : visual exercise on limb muscle strength in stroke patients with hemiparesis at RSUD Bekasi of City. This study used research designs Quasi Experiment pre and post test design with control group. The number of samples in this study were 22 respondents selected by consecutive sampling technique, divided into treatment groups of 11 respondents who have given standard hospital treatment and Motor Imagery : visual exercises three times a day within 7 days and a control group of 11 respondents who have given standard hospital treatment without any additional training Motor Imagery : visual. Evaluation research was done on the first day and the eighth for the two groups. The result showed that the strength of arm and leg muscles increased (p = 0.000) significantly after given training. This means the Motor Imagery : visual exercises influence on an increase in limb muscle strength in stroke patients with hemiparesis. This study recommends the need to conduct this exercise as an intervention in nursing care of stroke patients.
