Guru berperan penting dalam proses perkembangan suatu masyarakat. Penelitian ini berfokus pada faktor yang mempengaruhi profesionalisme seorang guru yaitu iklim sekolah. Iklim sekolah yang kondusif akan membentuk ability dan motivation bagi profesionalisme guru. Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran deskriptif mengenai iklim sekolah, dan profesionalisme guru di SMA 78 dan SMA 112 yang dijelaskan berdasarkan perbedaan tingkat pendidikan, usia, golongan/ kepangkatan dan jenis kelamin. Tujuan khusus penelitian ini untuk menguji apakah ada hubungan yang positif dan berarti antara iklim sekolah dan profesionalisme guru.
Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dan korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah responden sebanyak 111 orang yang merupakan seluruh guru yang ada di SMA 78 dan SMA 112. Tekhnik analisa data dengan menggunakan analisis Product Moment atau Pearson Correlation, Independent sample T-Test dan one way Anova. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan Microsoft Office Exell 2007 dan program SPSS versi 17.0 Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukan bahwa profesionalisme guru mempunyai hubungan yang positif dan signifikan.
Hasil ini memberikan arti bahwa semakin tinggi iklim sekolah maka akan semakin tinggi pula tingkat profesionalisme guru, dan sebaliknya semakin rendah iklim sekolah akan semakin rendah profesionalisme guru. Sedangkan hasil pengujian perbedaan rata-rata antara iklim sekolah dan profesionalisme guru di SMA 78 dan SMA112 menunjukan bahwa rata-rata iklim sekolah dan profesionalisme guru SMA 112 lebih tinggi dari iklim sekolah dan profesionalisme guru SMA 78.
Teachers play an important role in the development of a society. This study focuses on factors that affect the professionalism of a teacher of the school climate. School climate that is conducive to forming ability and motivation for the professionalism of teachers. In general, this study aims to obtain a descriptive overview of the school climate, and the professionalism of teachers in SMA 78 and SMA 112 are described based on differences in educational level, age, class / rank and gender. Specific objectives of this study to test whether there is a positive and meaningful relationship between school climate and teacher professionalism. Research using descriptive and correlational methods with quantitative approach. The number of respondents as many as 111 people who are all teachers in high school 78 and SMA 112. Techniques of data analysis by using analysis or Pearson Product Moment Correlation, Independent sample T-test and one way Anova. Data processing is done by Microsoft Office Exell 2007 and SPSS version 17.0. The results of hypothesis testing showed that the professionalism of teachers have a positive and significant relationship. This result gives the sense that the higher the school climate will be the higher the level of teacher professionalism, and conversely the lower the school climate will lower the professionalism of teachers. While the test results mean the difference between school climate and the professionalism of teachers in SMA 78 and SMA 112 showed that the average climate of the school and 112 high school teachers 'professionalism is higher than the climate of schools and 78 high school teachers' professionalism.
