Dalam perancangan motor induksi tiga phasa, informasi mengenai kecepatan motor sangat diperlukan untuk melakukan pengaturan kecepatan motor. Sensor kecepatan yang biasa digunakan mempunyai keterbatasan dalam hal resolusi dan biaya pembelian yang mahal. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan metode lain untuk menentukan kecepatan motor guna menggantikan penggunaan sensor kecepatan tersebut. Model motor yang digunakan adalah model motor induksi dalam kerangka acuan fluks rotor. Varibel yang diestimasi oleh observer adalah arus stator dan fluks rotor, sedangkan kecepatan rotor diestimasi berdasarkan teori lyapunov. Perancangan dan simulasi estimasi kecepatan pada motor induksi tanpa sensor kecepatan dengan full order observer ini menggunakan program C-MEX S-function pada Matlab/Simulink versi R2008a.

Abstract
In the three-phase induction motor design, the information about the motor speed is exceptionally needed to do the controling the speed of the motor. The sensor that has been used to measure the velocity has limitation in the matter of resolution with high expense. Therefore, there?s a need to use another method to replace the velocity sensor?s function to determine the motor speed. The motor modeling that?s used is the induction motor model in the frame of rotor flux reference. Variables are estimated by the observer is the stator current and rotor flux, while the rotor speed is estimated based on Lyapunov Theory. The design and simulation of the velocity estimation in induction motor without speed sensor with a full order observer is using the program C-MEX S-function in Matlab / Simulink R2008a version.
