 Abstract

Tesis ini berisi studi eksperimental sifat-sifat termo-optik (reflektivitas dan absorptivitas) material atap teras terhadap pancaran sinar matahari. Ada dua metode yang diterapkan untuk menghitung nilai reflektivitas (albedo) material. Yang pertama adalah menentukan koefisien konveksi lebih dahulu kemudian mencari albedo. Sedangkan metode kedua adalah menetapkan nilai reflektivitas dahulu dan selanjutnya menentukan nilai koefisien konveksi. Hasil dari kedua metode tersebut dibandingkan dengan nilai reflektivitas dan absorptivitas bahan standar produksi. Semakin tinggi nilai albedo akan meningkatkan kenyamanan di dalam ruang (gedung) dan mengurangi efek Urban Heat Island serta menurunkan produksi CO2 akibat pemakaian air conditioning saat musim panas.

This thesis contains experimental studies the properties of thermo-optical (reflectivity and absorptive) material roof terrace on the sun's rays. There are two methods that are applied to calculate the reflectivity (Albedo) material. The first is to determine the convection coefficient first and then look for Albedo. While the second method is to set the reflectivity value first and then determine the value of convection coefficient. Results from both methods were compared with the value of the reflectivity and absorptive of the standard material production. The higher the Albedo value will increase comfort in the room (building) and reduces the Urban Heat Island effect and decrease the production of CO2 resulting from the use air conditioning during the summer.
