Pada penelitian sebelumnya telah dilakukan koreksi hasil pengukuran spektrum sinar-x menggunakan detektor CdTe dengan metode unfolding untuk menghilangkan noise atau sinyal yang tidak diinginkan Hasil koreksi ternyata kurang baik karena menunjukan adanya loncatan hasil koreksi pada rentang energi antara 30 keV sampai 40keV. Matriks responnya diperbaiki dengan pemodelan detektor dalam keadaan vakum sehingga diperoleh matriks respon baru yang digunakan untuk proses koreksi. Pemodelan dibentuk dengan simulasi monte carlo yang aplikasinya terdapat pada program EGSnrc. Proses koreksi dilakukan menggunakan metode Unfolding dan hasilnya menunjukan noise yang terbaca pada detektor CdTe dapat lebih diminimalisir. Sehingga perbaikan matriks respon dengan cara memodel ulang simulasi detektor berhasil dilakukan.

Most applications of nuclear techniques depend on results measurenment of radiation, especially to measure the intensity or dose radiation of radiation.Measurenment of x-ray spectra using CdTe detector will produce spectra characteristic of detector.so that spectrum known as noise must be corrected by the method of unfoldingin order to obtain the actual x-ray spectrum. Accuracy improvement of the correction relating to to the resolution of the detector response matrix, the response matrix is formed using monte carlo simulation methods and Heprow program. With an ideal detector modeling, will get a correction factor which produces more accurate output.
