Sirkulasi koran mulai turun sementara pembaca media online terus berkembang. Tren tersebut terjadi di perusahaan media di Indonesia sehingga mendorong surat kabar untuk menerbitkan versi online dan menimbulkan konvergensi. Konvergensi mempengaruhi pola alur kerja jurnalistik dalam ruang redaksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan pola dan alur kerja dalam ruang redaksi berkonvergensi di Bisnis Indonesia, sebuah surat kabar harian ekonomi nasional. Metode penelitian kualitatif dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam dan observasi untuk mengambil data. Informan adalah pekerja jurnalistik dalam struktur redaksi Bisnis Indonesia, terdiri dari pemimpin redaksi, dua redaktur pelaksana, satu redaktur berita, dan dua reporter. Hasil penelitian menemukan adanya konsep multi-skilled journalist, pembagian konten bersama (content sharing), rolling deadlines, dan alur kerja yang menyatu. Selain itu, ditemukan juga istilah newsroom 2.0 yang merupakan proses ruang redaksi yang menuju ke arah konvergensi.
Newspaper circulation globally was seen declining while the number of online readers was rising. The trend happened in Indonesian media companies and encouraging newspapers to publish their online version, leading to convergence. Convergence influenced the pattern and workflow of journalism in a newsroom. The study aimed at describing the pattern and workflow of journalism in a converged newsroom at Bisnis Indonesia, a national daily business paper. A qualitative research method was done by doing in-depth interviews and observations to get the data. Informants were journalists working in Bisnis Indonesia?s newsroom, including the editor in chief, two managing editors, one news editor, and two reporters. The research found that the concept of multiskilled journalist, content sharing, rolling deadlines,and converging workflow existed. Moreover, there was the idea of newsroom 2.0, which showed a newsroom leading to a convergence.
