Skripsi ini membahas mengenai kebutuhan informasi peneliti PUSPIJAK dan pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi tersebut. Untuk melihat identifikasi kebutuhan informasi dan juga pemenuhan akan kebutuan tersebut dapat dilihat dari jenis informasi, bentuk informasi, faktor informasi, pemanfaatan perpustakaan, faktor cara memperoleh informasi, dan faktor personal. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa jenis informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh peneliti PUSPIJAK meliputi subjek ekonomi kehutanan (3.30), sosiologi kehutanan (3.24), konservasi SDH/SDA (3.24), perlindungan hutan (2.90) dan sosial ekonomi (makro ekonomi dan politik ekonomi) (3.24). Sehingga dapat dilihat dari perhitungan skala Likert bahwa para peneliti membutuhkan subjek sesuai dengan bidang kepakarannya, namun juga masih membutukan informasi yang bergerak dalam bidangnya, ini agar peneliti dapat mengetahui perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan di dalam bidang yang ditekuninya. Untuk kebutuhan informasi peneliti PUSPIJAK, Perpustakaan RI Ardi Koesoema sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan informasi peneliti PUSPIJAK. Di era saat ini, perpustakaan dihadapi dengan berbagai penyajian informasi yang dapat dikelompokkan menjadi 2 yaitu, informasi dalam bentuk tercetak dan digital. Sehingga peneliti dapat memenuhi kebutuhan informasi melalui berbagai bentuk penyajian informasi tersebut. Untuk bentuk tercetak menunjukan bahwa buku teks (2.27), sumber referensi (2.36), sumber statistik (2.27), buku indeks (2.42), abstrak (2.60), tesis dan disertasi (1,93), laporan penelitian (2.84), artikel majalah (2.57), dan majalah umum (2,42). Dalam hal ini Peneliti PUSPIJAK membutuhkan informasi dalam bentuk tercetak terkait dengan Perpustakaan RI Ardi Koesoema, Sedangkan untuk informasi dalam bentuk digital yaitu meliputi E-book (1.90), Ejournal (2.81), CD-ROM (1.87), dan layanan internet (3.30). Berdasarkan perhitungan rata-rata skala Likert diketahui bahwa peneliti PUSPIJAK masih dapat memenuhinya secara individu. Terkait dengan keberadaan internet yang dapat mengakses informasi samapi dengan seluruh Indonesia. Sehingga berdasarkan hasil peneltian yang didapat, dapat di presentasekan bahwa pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi peneliti PUSPIJAK sebesar 60%, sebagai pusat informasi, Perpustakaan RI Ardi Koesoema sudah mencoba untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi para penggunanya, sehingga kebutuhan yang tersedia masih cukup membantu para peneliti PUSPIJAK khususnya dalam proses penelitian dan menjawab masala penelitian.

This thesis addresses the information needs of researchers PUSPIJAK and information needs. To view the identification of information needs and also the fulfillment of these needs can be seen from this type of information, form information, the information factor, use of the library, the factors to obtain the information, and personal factors. The results of this study indicate that the type of information needed by researchers PUSPIJAK include forestry economic subjects (3.30), sociology forestry (3.24), the conservation of the SDH / SDA (3.24), forest protection (2.90) and socioeconomic (macro-economics and political economy) (3.24). So it can be seen from the calculation of the Likert scale that researchers need subjects in accordance with the field of expertise, but also still need to move information in its field, is that researchers can determine the development of science in the information needs of researchers PUSPIJAK.

For, RI Ardi Koesoema Library according to the information needs of researchers PUSPIJAK. In the current era, the library faced with a variety of presentation of information that can be grouped into two, namely, the information in printed and digital information. So that researchers can meet the needs of information through various forms of information presentation. To show that the form of printed text books (2.27), a source reference (2:36), statistical sources (2.27), a book index (2.42), an abstract (2.60), theses and dissertations (1.93), research reports (2.84), the article magazine (2:57), and general magazines (2.42).

In this case PUSPIJAK Investigators need the information in printed form associated with the Library of RI Ardi Koesoema, while for the information in digital form that includes the E-book (1.90), E-journal (2.81), CD-ROM (1.87), and internet services ( 3.30). Based on the calculation of average Likert scale PUSPIJAK note that researchers can still meet individually. Associated with the presence of the Internet can access information through the whole of Indonesia. So based on the results of research that's available, can be presentase that the information needs of researchers PUSPIJAK by 60%, as an information center, the Library of RI Ardi Koesoema've tried to meet the information needs of its users, so that needs are still enough to help the researchers PUSPIJAK especially in the research and answer the research problem.
