 Abstract

Fotokatalis Fe2+-ZnO berbasis zeolit alam disintesis dengan variasi konsentrasi Fe (1%, 3%, 5%, dan 7%) untuk meningkatkan aktifitas fotokatalitik dari ZnO. Fotokatalis ZnO yang telah disintesis kemudian dikarakterisasi dengan menggunakan X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), ultravisible spectroscopy (UV-vis), dan fourier transform spectroscopy (FT-IR). Metal jingga digunakan untuk mempelajari aktifitas fotokatalisis dari sampel.
Hasil menunjukkan bahwa aktifitas fotokatalisis meningkat dengan penambahan konsentrasi Fe. Pendopingan ion Fe akan meningkatkan daerah spektrum dari sampel dan dapat menahan terjadinya rekombinasi dari pembentukan pasangan electron-hole.

Fe2+-ZnO photocatalyst on zeolit based were synthesis with varying Fe contents (1%, 3%, 5%, and 7%) for improving photocatalytic activity of the samples. The resulting of ZnO photocatalyst were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), ultra-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), and fourier transform spectroscopy (FT-IR). Methyl orange was used to study photocatalytic activity of the samples.
The result showed that photocatalytic activity increased with the higher of Fe concentration. The irons doped can enhance the region of spectral region absorption and suppress the recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.
