Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh keragaman gender pada
Dewan Direksi terhadap persistensi laba. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 32
perusahaan non keuangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama tahun
2005-2009. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peranan wanita dalam
Dewan Direksi tidak berpengaruh terhadap kualitas laba yang diukur dengan
persistensi laba.
AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of gender diversity of the
Board of Directors on earnings persistence. Samples from this study comprise 32
non financial companies listed in IDX. This result suggests that the presence of
women on the Board of Directors had no effect on earnings quality by using a
proxy for earnings persistence.
