Tesis ini membahas hubungan antara Dana Perimbangan yang terdiri dari Dana Alokasi Umum, Dana Alokasi Khusus dan Dana Bagi Hasil dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah. Tujuan penelitian adalah melihat besarnya pengaruh Dana Alokasi Umum, Dana Alokasi Khusus, Dana Bagi Hasil, Pendapatan Asli Daerah dan Tenaga Kerja terhadap Pertumbuhan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten/Kota dan 25 Provinsi di Indonesia (2005-2009). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode regresi berganda dan data panel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dana Alokasi Umum, Dana Bagi Hasil dan Tenaga Kerja signifikan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto, sedangkan Dana Alokasi Khusus dan Pendapatan Asli Daerah berpengaruh negatif terhadap pertumbuhan Produk Domestik Regional Bruto.

The focus of this study describe relation between Fund Balance consists of the General Allocation Fund, the Special Allocation Fund and Revenue Sharing Fund with regional economic growth. The purpose of this study observe the effect of the General Allocation Fund, Special Allocation Fund, Revenue Sharing, Regional Income and Labor to Gross Domestic Product Growth of Regency/ Municipality and 25 provinces in Indonesia (2005-2009). This research is a quantitative research method with multiple regression and panel data. The results showed that the General Allocation Fund, Revenue Sharing and Labor significantly affect the growth of Gross Domestic Product, while the Special Allocation Fund and Revenue negatively affect the growth of Gross Domestic Product.
