Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning is the most common of all poisoning in industries
today and is responsible for over half of the poisoning fatalities reported each year in
The United State. However, in Indonesia is not data or report according to Carbon
monoxide poisoning eventhough its founded in some area incidently. But, if
Indonesia become industrial country, we may make prediction which this problems
will get improve and become greater than today. There are some report today
according to deadness related to carbon monoxide poisoning. For example, persons
are dead in garage in which ingine of car is on and some people dead in building that
is fire. The people dead is as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Carbon monoxide poisoning occur too much caused by some reasons. The
possibilities of carbon monoxide poisoning are ambiquitous. It has colorless and
odorless. Therefore, gives no warning of its presence under any circumstance. ln
addition, almost all of industrial toxins have characteristic odor, taste or appearance
or produce some sort of irritation that warns the potensial victim, a factor not present
in carbon monoxide poisoning. Another reason that makes this form of poisoning
particularly insidous is that the early sympthoms can resemble other diseases. But
the same with other diseases like nausea, headache and dizziness ect. So that the
persons who has carbon monoxide poisoning found by wrong diagnosis and has
fatal impact. Beside this that also has been senses CO poisoning can cause muscle
weakness so that the victim will not be able to get out from poison resources area
eventhough they know hazardous matter coming up to them.
