Pemberian ASI eksklusif erat kaitannya dengan pemberian kolostrum. Bayi yang diberikan kolostrum akan lebih mudah untuk disusui secara eksklusif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap ibu hamil tentang manfaat pemberian kolostrum serta rencana menyusui eksklusif. Penelitian ini mengunakan desain penelitian deskriptif, 90 ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Beji Depok berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki pengetahuan tinggi (76,7%) dan sikap positif (53,3%) tentang manfaat pemberian kolostrum. Mayoritas responden menyatakan bersedia (90%) untuk menyusui secara eksklusif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan untuk melakukan promosi lebih lanjut mengenai pentingnya manfaat pemberian kolostrum.

Exclusive breastfeeding is closely related to the provision of colostrums. Infant who will be given colostrum will be easier to breast fed exclusively. This study aimed to describe the level of knowledge and attitude of pregnant women about the benefits of colostrum and exclusive breastfeeding plan. This study used a descriptive research design. Ninety pregnant women at the Clinic of Beji Depok was participated in this study.

These results indicated that the majority of respondents had high knowledge (76.7%) and positive attitude (53.3%) of the benefits of colostrum. The majority of respondents stated that they were willing (90%) to breastfeeding exclusively. This research is recommended to promote the importance of the colostrum benefits
