Skripsi ini membahas tentang citra diri perempuan dalam novel “Love In The Kingdom of Oil” karya Nawal el Sadaawi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan citra diri perempuan dalam novel dari aspek fisik, psikis, dan sosial masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan struktural untuk menganalisis unsur intrinsik dalam novel. Unsur intrinsik ini menjadi dasar dalam analisis citra diri perempuan. Kesimpulan dari analisis tersebut adalah terdapat korelasi antara unsur intrinsik tema, tokoh dan penokohan, latar, dan amanat dengan penggambaran citra perempuan dalam novel tersebut.

This thesis discusses about women self image in the novel “Love In The Kingdom of Oil” by Nawal el Sadaawi. The purpose of this study to describe about women self image in the novel from the physical aspect, psychological aspect, and social aspect. This research use a structural approach to analyze the intrinsic unsure of the novel. The intrinsic elements of the basis for the analyze of the woman self image. The conclusion of this analysis is that there is a correlation between theme, character and characterization, setting, and moral with describtion of women self image in that novel.
