Perbedaan Perkembangan Bayi yang Diberikan ASI Eksklusif dan ASI Tidak Eksklusif = The Different Development in Infant that Received Exclusive Breastfeeding and Noneksclusive Breastfeeding

 Abstract

Keberhasilan perkembangan seorang bayi ditentukan oleh keberhasilan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan otak bayi. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh nutrisi terbaik dan ASI merupakan nutrisi terbaik untuk perkembangan otak bayi. Jika perkembangan otak bayi optimal, maka perkembangan motorik, bahasa,kemandirian sosial bayi akan optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan perkembangan pada bayi yang diberikan ASI Eksklusif dan ASI tidak Eksklusif. Desain penelitian analitik komparatif dengan metode cross sectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner menggunakan convenience sampling dengan total 60 sampel. Bayi yang tidak diberikan ASI eksklusif beresiko 9,5 kali mengalami penyimpangan perkembangan daripada bayi yang diberikan ASI eksklusif.

The development of infants is determined by their brains’ growth and development. This depends on the quality of nutrition that the infants get, and breastmilk is known as the best nutrition for brain development. Optimal development of brain in infants fosters optimal development of their motor skills, language, and social independency. The objective of this research is to investigate the difference between infants that received exclusive breast eeding treatment and ones that received nonexclusive breastfeeding. Using analytical research design and cross-sectional method. Data were collected using questionnaire, and the samples were selected using convenience sampling method, with the total of 60 samples. The result shows that there is a significant correlation between the act of exclusive breastfeeding and infant's development. Infants that received nonexclusive breastfeeding are 9,5 times more likely to experience deviation development than infant that received exclusive breastfeeding.
