 Abstract

Observer bertugas memantau dan mengambil objek yang berada diperairan selama misi pemantauan pada pesawat patroli maritim. Hal tersebut dilakukan dengan posisi duduk membungkuk sambil mengambil gambar dengan kamera yang dapat menimbulkan cedera pada tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa dan merancang ruang kerja observer sesuai postur kerjanya dalam virtual environtment dengan menggunakan software simulasi ergonomi, Jack 6.1.
Postur kerja observer akan diujikan dengan 8 konfigurasi berbeda dengan menggunakan metode Posture Evaluasion Index (PEI). Hasil penelitian ini yaitu usulan konfigurasi desain dengan tinggi kursi sebesar 37 cm, tinggi bubble window sebesar 68 cm dan tinggi hand rest sebesar 70 cm.

The tasks of an observer are to monitor and to take images of the objects on the water during the surveillance mission on maritime patrol aircraft. Those tasks are done by hunched-sitting position while taking pictures with the camera, which can cause musculoskeletal disorder on the body. The purpose of this study is to analyze and redesign the workstation of the observer according to his working posture in the virtual environment by using ergonomic simulation software: Jack 6.1.
The observer’s working posture will be examined with eight different configurations by Posture Evaluasion Index (PEI) method. The result of this study would be a proposal of design configuration of a chair with 37 cm high, bubble window with 68 cm high, and hand rest with 70 cm high.
