Skripsi ini membahas kemungkinan transformasi struktur kooperatif dalam situasi opsional seperti yang dimodelkan dalam teori permainan Stag Hunt. Transformasi struktur kooperatif tersebut dapat dimodelkan dengan interaksi 8 arah angin yang secara bertahap akan mengubah interaksi di dalamnya. Untuk mencapai transformasi struktur kooperatif tersebut dibutuhkan pendasaran rasionalitas. Stag Hunt memuat asumsi rasionalitas ketakutan yang menghasilkan keraguan untuk bersikap kooperatif ataupun tidak. Apa yang rasional untuk dipilih seseorang tergantung pada apa yang ia percayai akan dipilih oleh lawan mainnya. Rasionalitas instrumental tidak dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan ketakutan karena ia berfokus pada asumsi homo oeconomicus yang individual. Dibutuhkan kerja rasionalitas yang terbuka dan mengandung aspek sosial. Rasionalitas konsensus merupakan rasionalitas yang berbasis pada bahasa yang pada dasarnya bersifat sosial dan pada karakter reflektif yang terbuka dan tidak terdistorsi. Rasionalitas konsensus membuat agen memperbincangkan kembali ketakutan yang ada sehingga transformasi struktur sosial pun dapat terjadi.

This thesis discusses the possibility of cooperative structure transformation in optional situation as modeled in Stag Hunt Game Theory. This transformation of social structure can be modeled with 8-Way interactions that will gradually change the interactions in it. Some groundwork is needed to achieve the transformation of this social structure. Stag Hunt contains rationality of fear assumption that generates doubt to act cooperative or not. What is rational to be chosen by someone depend on what she believe her opponent will choose. Instrumental rationality can’t solve the problem of fear because its basic assumption is individually homo oeconomicus. It takes some work of open rationality that have a social aspect to solve that problem. Consensual rationality based on language that grounded on the social, and based on reflective character that open up and not distorted. Consensual rationality makes agent discussing the fear so the transformation of social structure can be happened.
