Skripsi ini membahas pembentukan prefiks se- dan makna gramatikalnya dalam kumpulan cerpen Kompas edisi Januari 2012—Maret 2013. Kumpulan cerpen Kompas edisi Januari 2012—Maret 2013 digunakan sebagai korpus data dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan pembentukan prefiks se- dan makna gramatikal yang dihasilkan dari afiksasi prefiks se-. Teori klasifikasi kelas kata, perubahan kelas kata, dan makna gramatikal prefiks se- digunakan untuk tercapainya tujuan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, prefiks se- dapat bergabung dengan 10 kelas kata selain kelas kata artikula, fatis, dan interjeksi. Afiksasi prefiks se- membentuk 6 kelas kata, yaitu adjektiva, nomina, adverbia, numeralia, preposisi, dan konjungsi. Afiksasi prefiks se- juga menghasilkan makna gramatikal sebanyak 20 makna.

This undergraduate thesis discussed the formation of the prefix se- and its grammatical meaning which are found in the January 2012 – March 2013 edition of Kompas’ compilation of short stories. The corpus of this research is the January 2012 – March 2013 edition of Kompas’ compilation of short stories. The purpose of this research was to explain the formation of the prefix se- and the grammatical meaning which was caused by the affixation of the prefix se-. The theories of classification and change of word class as well as the grammatical meaning of the prefix se- were used in order to achieve the purpose of this research. The research found that the prefix se- can be adjoined with 10 word classes, excluding the article, phatic, and interjection. The affixation of the prefix se- formed 6 word classes, namely adjective, noun, adverb, numeral, preposition, and conjunction. The affixation of the prefix se- also produced 20 grammatical meanings.
