ABSTRAKTuberkulosis (TB) menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan yang paling serius,
masalah kesehatan di dunia dan penyebab utama kematian di negara berkembang.
Indonesia merupakan negara dengan pasien TB terbanyak ke-3 di dunia setelah India
dan Cina. Hasil Survei Kesehatan Rumah Tangga (SKRT) menunjukkan bahwa
penyakit TB penyebab kematian nomor 5 setelah penyakit kardiovaskular dan
penyakit saluran napas pada semua kelompok usia dan nomor 1 dari golongan
penyakit infeksi. Tuberkulosis disebabkan oleh Mycobacterium tuberculosis dan
menyerang organ pernapasan walaupun dapat mengenai organ lain. Sejak meluas
penyakit human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) dan pertambahan kasus TB kebal obat
(MDR-TB), masalah TB yang sebelumnya telah teratasi kembali mencuat, sehingga
pengawasan dan pemberantasan penyakit ini menjadi bertambah rumit.
Angka kesalahan (error rate) pemeriksaan laboratorium pada Mycobacterium
tuberculosis sangat mempengaruhi penemuan penderita dan pengobatan penyakit
tuberkulosis. Error rate pemeriksaan laboratorium yang tinggi berarti kemampuan
mendeteksi kurang, pemeriksaan belum dapat dipercaya hasil pelaporannya, akan
berdampak masalah penyakit tuberkulosis di masyarakat tidak terdeteksi dengan baik
dan benar, obat anti tuberkulosis tidak berhasil guna penyembuhan. Sehingga
penularan penyakit TBC tidak dapat ditanggulangi dengan baik di masyarakat.
Berdasarkan hasil laporan cross check pemeriksaan BTA triwulan I sampai IV
di Kota Tangerang tahun 2012 terjadi error rate 5,26% sampai 36,36%. Nilai error
rate yang ditoleransi dari Kementerian Kesehatan maksimal 5%.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kinerja petugas pemeriksa BTA dan
determinannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan desain
cross sectional. Sampel pada penelitian ini 26 petugas laboratorium puskesmas yang
melakukan pemeriksaan BTA. Dari 26 petugas pemeriksa BTA terdapat 15 petugas
dengan error rate rendah dan 11 petugas dengan error rate tinggi. Pengumpulan data
dilakukan menggunakan kuisioner dan wawancara. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui
faktor yang berhubungan dengan error rate BTA adalah sistem dan beban kerja.
Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan variabel sistem (nilai p=0,030, OR=16,0)
berhubungan bermakna dan faktor dominan berhubungan dengan kinerja petugas
pemeriksa BTA. Disarankan kepada petugas pemeriksa BTA sistem yang ada (pmi,
menerapkan SOP) dan Dinas Kesehatan memberi pelatihan dan bimbingan intensif,
serta melengkapi kebutuhan laboratorium terutama untuk pemeriksaan BTA.

world after India and China. Household Health Survei showed the TB diseases 5

been resolved back sticking out, of control and eradication of this disease become
more complicated.
Error rate of laboratory test on Mycobacterium tuberculosis greatly affect the
detection and treatment of tuberculosis. Laboratory error rate is high means the ability
to detect less, yet reliable inspection result reporting, will impact the problem of
tuberculosis in the community are not detected properly, anti tuberculosis failed to
cure. So that transmission of TB disease cannot be addressed properly in society.
Based on the results of smear examination report cross check until the fourth
quarter in the city of Tangerang in 2012 there is an error rate of 5.26% to 36.36%.

The purpose of this study was to determine the error rate of smear examination and its
determinant. This study is an observational study with cross-sectional design. The
samples of the study 26 laboratory workers who perform both smear clinic. Of 26

system (pmi, implement the SOP) and the Department of Health provide intensive
training ang guidance, as well as complete laboratory requitments, especially for
smearexamination.
