Tesis ini membahas tentang perilaku pemilihan tempat persalinan oleh ibu bersalin di wilayah Puskesmas Liwa Kabupaten Lampung Barat tahun 2012. Di wilayah Puskesmas Liwa tahun 2012, pelayanan kesehatan dan fasilitas kesehatan sudah tersedia, pertolongan persalinan oleh tenaga kesehatan sudah tinggi namun masih sedikit persalinan yang dilakukan di fasilitas kesehatan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, yang menggunakan pendekatan kasus kontrol/case control.Hasil analisis regresi logistik menunjukkan bahwa ibu bersalin yang tidak memiliki perencanaan dalam persalinannya mempunyai OR 11,954 (95% CI:4,367-32,654) terhadap pemilihan fasilitas non kesehatan sebagai tempat persalinan. Penelitian ini juga menyarankan untuk meningkatkan peran lingkungan keluarga, masyarakat dan petugas dalam mendukung pemilihan fasilitas kesehatan sebagai tempat persalinan dengan mengembangkan program desa siaga dan P4k.

This thesis discusses the selection of behavior by maternal childbirth area in the Puskesmas West Lampung Regency at year 2012. Health services and health facilities already available, childbirth by health workers is high but in fact, childbirth at health facilities are still few. This research is quantitative research by using case control approach.

From logistic regression analysis results indicate that maternal that had no childbirth plan will have OR 11,954 (95%CI:4,367- 32,654) for the selection of non health facilities as a childbirth. The study also suggested to increase the role of the family, the community and health workers in support of the selection of health facilities as a childbirth with DESA SIAGA and P4k program.
