Technical evaluation of refrigeration system in LNG Plant

 Abstract

Tesis ini berkaitan dengan evaluasi teknis sistem pendinginan di Industri proses LNG. Proses LNG C3-MR dan refrigeran murni disimulasikan berdasarkan data suhu, tekanan dan komposisi gas alam. Selama process simulasi pengaruhnya dianalisis dengan memeriksa specific horse power, produksi LNG dan pendapatan LNG pada kedua proses tersebut. Untuk memenuhi permintaan efisiensi dan kapasitas yang besar pada proses pencairan, analisis termodinamika pada proses pencairan C3-MR dan refrigeran murni untuk LNG proses juga dievaluasi. Specific horse power pada proses pencairan untuk C3-MR dan refrigeran murni menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan refrigeran murni memiliki specific horse power lebih rendah dari pada C3-MR sebesar 69%. Namun, produksi LNG dan pendapatan LNG untuk kedua proses tersebut menunjukkan bahwa proses C3-MR memiliki kapasitas produksi lebih tinggi dari pada zat pendingin murni sebesar 92% dan pendapatan LNG yang tinggi.

This thesis deals with the technical evaluation of refrigeration system in LNG process plant. The C3-MR and pure refrigerant LNG process plant was simulated based on data of natural gas temperature, pressure and composition. During the simulations the effects were analyzed by examining specific horse power, LNG production and revenue of LNG for the both processes. To meet the demand of greater efficiency and large capacity for liquefaction processes, thermodynamic analysis on the liquefaction processes for C3-MR and pure refrigerant LNG process plant also has been evaluated. The analysis of specific horse power on the liquefaction processes for C3-MR and pure refrigerant shows that using pure refrigerant has lower specific horse power than C3-MR by 69%. However, LNG production and revenue of LNG for both processes shows that C3-MR process has higher production capacity per train than that of pure refrigerant by 92% and high revenue of LNG.
