ABSTRAKKejadian tidak diharapkan terjadi di rumah sakit 65 % adalah komunikasi. Upaya meningkatkan keselamatan pasien perlu dilakukan petugas kesehatan terutama melalui komunikasi. Komunikasi Situation, Background, Assesment, dan Recommendation (SBAR) merupakan komunikasi yang telah terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keselamatan pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pengaruh pelatihan komunikasi SBAR terhadap pengetahuan dan kepatuhan perawat pelaksana dalam melakukan komunikasi SBAR.Desain penelitian pretest-posttest without control group dilakukan pada 50 perawat ruang intensif yang dilatih dan diobservasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan terhadap komunikasi SBAR setelah dilakukan pelatihan komunikasi SBAR (pvalue 0.000). Komitmen komunikasi dengan SBAR harus disepakati oleh semua petugas kesehatan yang ada melalui kebijakan dan prosedur.

ABSTRACT65 % of adverse event in the hospital is communication. The efforts to improve patient safety, especially health care workers need to be done through communication. Situation, Background, Assessment and Recommendation (SBAR) communication program is effective to improve patient safety.
