Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker di Direktorat Bina Produksi dan Distribusi Alat Kesehatan bertujuan untuk memahami tugas dan fungsi Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan dan juga memahami tugas pokok dan fungsi dari bagian Direktorat Bina Produksi dan Distribusi Alat Kesehatan. Sedangkan tujuan dari tugas khusus adalah untuk memahami proses pemberian izin edar produk Perbekalan Kesehatan Rumah Tangga (PKRT) dan memahami cara pemeriksaan dan hasil penilaian kelengkapan dan kebenaran berkas permohonan izin edar produk PKRT.
