 Abstrak

[ABSTRAK
Proses belajar terhadap kemampuan dan perilaku baru dimulai dari mengamati
dan meniru. Salah satu yang mungkin dilakukan adalah speech imitation, yaitu
menirukan ucapan atau pembicaraan yang ditangkap melalui indera. Beberapa
penelitian terdahulu menyatakan bahwa selain banyaknya suku kata dan panjangnya
kalimat, speech imitation dipengaruhi oleh jeda antara stimulus dan respon,
pengulangan kata, dan jenis kelamin pembicara.
Anak dapat meniru hal yang dilihatnya melalui media, seperti tayangan.
Sebuah penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak lebih tertarik untuk mengamati dan
menirukan tayangan yang menampilkan gambar dan suara dibandingkan dengan yang
hanya memiliki tampilan suara. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa tidak terdapat
pengaruh yang signifikan dari tipe komponen media yang diberikan terhadap perilaku
speech imitation pada anak usia 3 tahun sampai dengan 3 tahun 11 bulan.

Learning process to new skill and behavior starts from observation and
imitating. One thing that may happen is speech imitation, which being catches by
senses. Some of earlier experiment shows that speech imitation influenced by the
pause between stimulus and response, word repetition, and speaker’s gender, besides
the length of the word or sentence.
Children can imitate what they see in the media, like media component. An
experiment shows that children more likely to observe and imitate things from media
that shows picture and sound than the one that only has sound. This experiment found
that there are not significant differences from media component given to the speech
imitation behavior in children between 3 years old to 3 years and 11 moths old., Learning process to new skill and behavior starts from observation and
