 Abstrak

[ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan pegawai eselon IV atas pelaksanaan promosi jabatan pada Sekretariat Jenderal Kementerian Kehutanan. Dimensi dari dasar-dasar promosi jabatan adalah
pengalaman (senioritas) dan sistem merit. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 89 orang pegawai eselon IV dan calon eselon IV pada Sekretariat Jenderal Kementerian Kehutanan yang telah mengikuti pemetaan kompetensi dan dengan
menggunakan total sampling. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana tingkat kepuasan pegawai eselon IV atas pelaksanaan promosi jabatan
pada Sekretariat Jenderal Kementerian Kehutanan. Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari kuesioner dan wawancara yang pengukurannya menggunakan
skala likert dan diolah secara statistic dengan program SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) 13.0. Kemudian hasil olahan data tersebut didistribusikan ke
dalam tabel untuk selanjutnya dianalisis dengan analisa deskriptif.

over the implementation of a promotion at the Secretariat General of the Ministry
of Forestry. Dimensions of the basics of promotion are the experience (seniority)
and the merit system. The study was conducted to 89 employees and prospective
echelonIV at the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Forestry who has followed
the mapping of competencies and using total sampling. Formulation of the
problem in this study is how the level of echelon IV employee satisfaction over
the implementation of a promotion at the Secretariat General of the Ministry of
Forestry. Primary data in this study were obtained from questionnaires and
interviews using a Likert scale of measurement and statistically processed with
SPSS program (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) 13.0. Then the
processed data is distributed to the next table to be analyzed with descriptive
