[The imbalance between cost and quality improvement of health care affects the extent of society’s health. The efforts to develop Indonesia's health need to be carry out to solve these problems, included the improvement of pharmaceutical services. The ideal and equitable of pharmaceutical services throughout Indonesia requires the policies and standards which all of them are the role of Directorate of Pharmaceutical Services. The aim of Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) was to understanding the role of pharmacists in the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Services and its implementation. The pharmacist roles right here was accordance with their duties and functions according to the ministerial regulation 1144/Menkes/Per/VIII/2010. The work program which currently running in the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Services carried out by Sub Directorate such as developed software PIO, conducting advocacy to colleges about the role and functions of pharmacists in health facilities, organized PPOR and CBIA. The APPE should be implemented in a longer time. The work program should be more emphasis on advocacy to college on for Pharmacists equalization. Linked to the function of the sub directorate community pharmacy, the theme care plan was taken. It’s about the role of pharmacists in disease management contribute include drug and non - drug therapy. Every pharmacist who plunge into the world of community pharmacy should always make care plan for each patient with a willingness to always learn within the developments in health field., Ketidakseimbangan peningkatan antara biaya dan mutu pelayanan kesehatan yang didapat mempengaruhi derajat kesehatan masyarakat. Upaya pembangunan kesehatan di Indonesia perlu terus dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, termasuk peningkatan pelayanan kefarmasian. Pelayanan kefarmasian yang ideal dan merata di seluruh wilayah Indonesia perlu didukung dengan adanya suatu standar dan kebijakan yang merupakan peran dari Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) yang bekerja sama dengan Ditjen Binfar Alkes ini bertujuan agar para mahasiswa Apoteker dapat mengetahui dan memahami peran, tugas, dan fungsi dalam departemen ini. Apoteker disini menjalankan peran sesuai dengan tugas dan fungsinya menurut Permenkes RI No. 1144/Menkes/Per/VIII/2010. Program kerja yang sedang berjalan di Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian dan dilaksanakan oleh Sub Direktorat Farmasi Komunitas dan Sub Direktorat PenggunaanObat Rasional yaitu pembuatan software PIO, menyelenggarakan advokasi ke perguruan tinggi mengenai peran dan fungsi Apoteker di Puskesmas, menyelenggarakan PPOR dan CBIA. Sebaiknya PKPA ini dilaksanakan dalam waktu yang lebih lama. Program kerja sebaiknya lebih ditekankan pada advokasi ke perguruan tinggi mengenai pemerataan tenaga Apoteker. Sehubungan dengan fungsi dari sub direktorat farmasi komunitas, maka diambil tema care plan dimana peran apoteker berkontribusi dalam penatalaksanaan penyakit mencakup terapi obat dan non-obat.
