ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas tentang bentuk dan letak motif kuda pada GuaMetanduno. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kaitan antara penggambaranmotif kuda dan keletakannya. Motif kuda diduga memiliki suatu konsep tertentudi dalam penempatannya pada dinding Gua Metanduno. Penelitian ini diawalidengan menganalisis motif kuda. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, diketahui bahwaterdapat tiga bentuk penggambaran, yaitu tipis, sedang dan penuh. Motif-motifkuda selanjutnya diplot pada dinding gua yang dibagi atas sisi kiri, belakang dankanan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya aspek pemilihan tempatdalam meletakkan bentuk motif kuda di dalam Gua Metanduno.

ABSTRACTThis research focus on variations of horse motif based on its location inMetanduno Cave. Research aims to see the relation between horse motif based onits location in Metanduno Cave. Horse motifs thought to have a particularconcept in its placements on the wall of Metanduno Cave. This research begin byanalyzing the horse motif. Based on analysis, there are three form depiction, thatis thin, moderate, and full. The horse motif then plotted on the wall that is dividedon left side, behind and to the right. The result of this research show that there iselectoral aspects of putting a horse motif in the shape of Cave Metanduno.
